In 1959, Mr. Edwin Kehrt launched the company’s first product, the marine-grade polysulfide sealant Life-Calk® in Long Island, New York. 10 years later, Life Industries Corporation acquired the company. In 1995, Life Industries relocated to its current home of North Charleston, South Carolina. Grace L. Schmitt, Mr. Kehrt’s daughter took the helm in 1985 and leads the company with unwavering commitment to its prosperous future as it continues to grow. RVbyLIFE was created to service the growing need for high-quality RV repair and RV restoration supplies in 2011.
The first to release marine sealants to market, BoatLIFE remains a pioneer in the marine products manufacturing industry. The company takes great pride in making all our BoatLIFE here in the United States of America at our North Charleston facility.
