Schmidt and her husband John welcome their fourth German Pinscher to the family, and by extension, the Life Industries Family!
In his new role, Schmitty serves as guard dog, office roamer, ball chaser, garbage can inspector, walking companion, and dog bone connoisseur. Our handsome boy is a force to be reckoned with. He is a lover and incredibly playful with all our guests and friends who visit us at our corporate headquarters in North Charleston, South Carolina.
A certified show dog, Schmitty will take his talents with our owner on the road. Let’s cheer him on as he works on his next titles, as an AKC Champion.

Mr. Edwin Kehrt founded LIFE in Long Island, New York in 1959. LIFE Industries formulates, compounds, labels, packages, and ships various chemical compounds for its companies BoatLIFE, RVbyLIFE, and AeroLIFE. The organization relocated to its present home in North Charleston, South Carolina in 1995. Grace L. Schmidt, Mr. Kehrt’s daughter, has been president since 1987. Also, this year marks the company’s 65th anniversary.
